Our dearest friends and family, from near and far.
Château du Raysse, Le Passage du Raysse, 24370 Cazoulès, France
Coincidentally over Easter weekend! Saturday 8th - Monday 10th April 2023.
Oui, that's right! We would be delighted if you can join us at the beautiful Château du Raysse for our wedding weekend.
When we envision our wedding day, one of the things most important to us was being able to spend quality time with each other but also to celebrate with our loved ones. We tossed up many ideas on how to do this, but one late winter evening we turned to each other and said "why don't we just do the France thing?". The "France thing" being: a weekend away with family and friends, eating yummy food, dancing to good (up for debate) music and with an option to jump into a pool if the mood strikes. Some warm weather might be nice too, wouldn't you agree?
A few Google clicks and many emails later, we landed on Château du Raysse, where we hope to make everlasting memories with you all. If we haven't tempted you enough with the mention of the swimming pools, there is also a snooker table... Which, if you know Steve really well, should come as no surprise.
Find out moreDirect flights are available from Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansead to Bergerac, Bordeaux and Toulouse. Southampton Airport may start to offer direct flights to these locations again soon (fingers crossed!). The château is around a 80 minute drive from the airport, and car rental/sharing offer better rates than local taxis.
Roadtrip lovers, this one is for you! You can catch a ferry to France from Dover, Newhaven, Portsmouth, Plymouth and Poole; or there is always the Eurotunnel! Your drive from the north of France will likely take around 6-8 hours, depending which route you choose to take. Maybe we'll see you on the way!
If you fancy something a bit different, the train station in Souillac is a five minute drive from the Château and is right on the Paris-Brive-Cahors-Toulouse line, making it extremely convenient to travel by rail from Paris and London; with beautiful views along the way! The average journey time is 8 hours.
Welcome dinner and drinks at the château, 6pm-10pm. Bring your sunnies, just in case.
The Big Day! Enjoy a lie in (we certainly will try!). Ceremony starts at 3:30pm followed by Hog Roast at 6pm. Dancing shoes at the ready for 8pm.
We're checking out at 10am and will be sad to leave! Join us for brunch, if you wish, at 11am. We'll confirm the location nearer the time.
